Three Witches Visit a Charismatic Emergent Church

From this article, Born-Again Witch: Why I Took Witches to a Pentecostal Church (Part 1)

Autumn: My first impression of the grounds and facility was one of surprise.  Annika had covered in depth some of the things I might see, how people would likely react to me, and so forth, but the grounds of the church as we approached had a vibe I was not expecting.  The architecture and layout was something like the United Nations combined with a modern high school with a sprinkling of the Google campus.  Flagpoles lining the “Avenue of Nations” seemed to shout out the place of the church as a meeting for the entire world, and the landscaping and parking lots were meticulously maintained.  None of this quite prepared me however for walking in the door and seeing what I now refer to as the “Sacred Starbucks” — the Christian themed coffee shop ‘HeBrews’ complete with pastries, snacks, and little tables.   Everything meticulous, corporate, and professionally designed.  This place had money.  And it was not afraid to use it…

For a while I kept thinking that maybe the next song would be different and I could join in, but it never changed. I felt a sadness wash over me, a loss. I wasn’t going to be able to participate in this no matter how much internal translating I would do. This really wasn’t for me anymore. I felt excluded, left out, the sense that I didn’t belong. For me that was unexpected and surprisingly  unpleasant. It was one thing to not join by my own choice, but this expression of worship felt so unwelcoming. I looked over at Autumn and saw that she was observing everything very carefully and was deep in thought. I couldn’t wait to find out what her experience was, if she could see the energy being moved, and what her interpretation would be.

Part Three shows the witchcraft used in charismatic churches and also shows that there was no discerning of spirits. Why Christians do not ask the Lord for the discerning of spirits gift is beyond me. Many Wiccans come into a church to bring it down and with much success-and why not? There is paganism and witchcraft going on of which the Lord hates! I call these churches by the name of Ichabod-the glory of the Lord has departed. And they don’t even know it.

In Proverbs we read: “There is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Think about this for a moment.  The Bible states “the wages of sin is death.” So what may seem right, can lead to death because the consequence of sin is death. Do you see how deception works?

Sometimes it is beneficial to take time to do a reality check on our lives. For example, a Christian can be confident that he or she is serving the Lord when he is actually deceived. This is because what we do “seems to be right” in our eyes.

We really need to pray and ask our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the only true God, to reveal to us all of the lies we are believing to be the truth! Confess to Him that you are not sure if you have been deceived but that you need Him to show you. And be at the ready to repent-and be ready to accept that some of those lies may not seem to be wrong to you. But do your research before fluffing it off. Search the matter out in all of your practices, especially those of tradition. Pray the Scriptures. Pray for discernment to know truth from error. And, ask the Lord for the gift of discerning of spirits when you sense something may be amiss in the church. Be Spirit-led. Put on your armor and wield that two-edged Sword!

To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:  “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’ ~Revelation 2:1-7 NKJV

Always Look to Scripture!

A Proven Truth!

God’s Jewels

A wonderful, uplifting sermon. Listen closely because he briefly mentions why there are those who do not attend church~

Consider This…

2 Kings 17 reveals that God’s patience does run out where the paganized worship of Him is concerned…christianized paganism leads to paganized worship of God which does descend into worship of another god, another Jesus. And, is not pagan/papist “holy” days, traditions and rituals, an idol when one cannot loose their grip of them when confronted with God’s Word saying, do not do as the heathen do for their gods in our worshiping Him? If one must justify, apart from scriptural authority, or, with scriptures contorted, doing that which God forbids then the thing being done is an idol.

Now, if God judged and punished the Israelites for their syncretic worship of Him, why do Christians believe they will get a pass for doing the same?

The Priesthood of Every Believer

You also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1Peter 2:5)

Paganism is the default religion of the human race. Without true, Biblical teaching we think like pagans. Many have rightly pointed out that Roman Catholicism is paganized Christianity. In that context, Luther fought to bring us back to the truth of the gospel as found in scripture alone. A concomitant teaching of scripture alone is the priesthood of every believer. Pagans typically wish to have a supposed holy man (or shaman) to stand between them and God, many Christians are looking for the same. False teachers and false prophets take advantage of this tendency to abuse the flock.

In Luther’s day the abuse came from the Pope and the hierarchy of authorities under him. In that context, some Christians from Bohemia wrote to Luther to ask what to do. The Pope was making them send people to Rome at their own expense and pay tribute to have authorized “priests” to head churches. Luther’s answer was the biblical doctrine of the priesthood of every believer. He claimed that the Roman Catholic priesthood was illegitimate and comprised of the unregenerate. As such, they were not truly priests. Luther identified seven functions of priests, and proved from scripture that each of these legitimately pertained to every true saint, born from above.

Today the doctrine of the priesthood of every believer is typically neglected. The implications of the doctrine are not on the minds of many Christians. In this vacuum, religious authorities do what Roman Catholic authorities did in Luther’s day – they abuse the saints. In this article we will examine the seven functions identified by Luther along with his Biblical proof. I will argue that Luther’s doctrine was indeed Biblical and needs to be brought back to the forefront of our preaching and teaching. If we are truly priests to God, we need to know the privileges and duties that attend this position we have in Christ.

Are You Sure You Want to Practice Paganism and Call it Holy to the LORD?

Revelation 22

12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.*

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.**

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

*The idolaters and practitioners of falsehoods are those who know to do right but refuse to do it. They make excuses and twist scriptures to justify their profane worship because they say it honors God. They say that time has passed and that X Mass and Easter no longer have the meanings they once did. Look at the modern day Wiccan practices and tell me that Christians are completely seperate from them in worship practices to our Most Holy God! What does God say? Has He given scriptures or Apostolic examples that pagan worship practices can be Christianized and used to worship Him? Please show me! These people love their Christo-pagan “holy” days more than they love God. Or, perhaps its their children and grandchildren who matters to them more than God.

**How do these X Mass celebrants add to the Word of God in His Revelation? By making their traditions of men of equal or of more importance than His Word. They add their Christo-pagan “holy” days to His Word despite His warnings not to do such things: Deut. 12; Jer. 10. How do they take away from the Word of God? By making His commandments of no effect in their lives. By saying that God’s warning is not for them. This makes them the idolaters and lovers of falsehoods (Jesus was not born on Dec.25) cited in His Book of Revelation…

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.
