Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth? Galatians 4:16
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:12-13 NKJV
I call those who twist word meanings (like “Mass”) and scriptures (like Romans 14) to validate their Christmas celebration, X Mass Worshippers. They seem to be so adamant in their belief that God is pleased with His Son’s name on this pagan holy day that they cannot see the forest of God’s judgement on Israel because of their syncretic worship for their in-house decorated pagan X Mass tree! They insist on saying, “Merry CHRISTmas,” as if we are the ones who need to be reminded that “Christ” is in the pagan/papist “holy day.” Oh, it is, but it’s the wrong “Christ.” And they will call us Pharisees and legalists for “binding” their conscience on the matter, while forcing us to see the decorated tree of Nimrod in our church or making us forgo church altogether during the “Yuletide Season.” (now, who is really binding who’s conscience?). Speaking of conscience, they are convinced we are of the weaker conscience. They tell us we are of an unholy spirit and are trying to keep them from worshipping God on their special “holy” day. Hmmm…is that even possible? What they do not understand when they respond to us is that this is not a lawful holy day so no scriptures can be used to defend celebrating it. One must find the scriptures that make it God ordained or commanded before they can use scriptures to defend its celebration and they just can’t find it. And if they could find it, they still celebrate it unlawfully with their pagan trees and decorations and even the date chosen for Christ’s birth. They commit spiritual adultery:
This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, and says, “I have done no wickedness.” Proverbs 30:20
Let’s continue to warn our brethren in the spirit of kindness and forbearance but let’s not badger those intent upon celebrating their pagan/papist traditions of men “holy” days. Let’s keep praying for their eyes to be opened to the truth of the matter and that our Lord will call them to come out of the Babylonian religious system.
We need sweeping reformation. Let me give a definition of reformation as it is given in a religious dictionary: “Change by removal of faults or abuses, and a restoration to a former good estate.” Now that is not so bad. I do not know how anybody who believes he or she is a Christian could ever object to changing in the direction of the removal of faults and abuses toward the restoration to a former good estate. The problem is change, which disturbs many people. They have accepted the status quo as being the very tablets given by God on the mountain. Most people, if they happen to be in any church anywhere, accept the status quo without knowing or caring to inquire how it came to be. In other words, they do not ask, “Oh God, is this of You, is this divine, is this out of the Bible?”…
