Leviticus 10:10 “You must distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean.”
In a world still swirling in sin thousands of years after its catastrophic collision with evil, the need for discernment is critical, and God has assigned to His followers the task of knowing the difference between good and evil. What seperates God’s people from everyone else is the wisdom He gives that enables them to discern holy from common, sacred from profane, clean from unclean, good from evil. ~Julie Ackerman Link from her booklet, Loving God With All My Mind
God gives Christians the wisdom to discern but too many refuse to exercise it…especially where these family-oriented (not God ordained!) Christo-pagan hellidays are concerned. God’s holy word is to be highly esteemed and watched over! If the scribes trembled for fear of making one little jot or tittle mistake then we ought to be as good of stewards of the precious truth as they were. No where in God’s Word are we, as Christians, given permission to christianize unredeemable paganism though many love to twist the scriptures to justify their doing just that in disobedience to God. Be ye seperate, says the Lord…Do not worship Me in the same manner as the pagans worship their gods…
